Colton Little, candidate for Flathead County Commissioner
Who Is Colton?
Colton Little grew up in Columbia Falls, Montana — a community shaped by hard work, natural beauty, and the kind of neighbor-to-neighbor bonds that make the Flathead Valley special. He has watched this county change, and he believes it's time for leadership that reflects the values and the struggles of the people who live here.
Colton is running for Flathead County Commissioner because he sees a community at a crossroads. Rents and home prices have skyrocketed. Young people can't afford to stay. Seniors on fixed incomes are being pushed out. And the county government has been slow to respond with the urgency the moment demands.
"We are fighting for a future where the people who live here can afford to stay here."
As a member of Flathead County's Transportation Advisory Committee, Colton has already worked firsthand within local government — and seen both the possibilities and the frustrating lack of political will to act on what the public actually needs. He knows the process, and he knows how to push it forward.
Colton believes county government should be transparent, accessible, and genuinely accountable to the people it serves — not run behind closed doors for a narrow set of interests. Bold ideas. Transparency. People-first leadership. That's what he's bringing to the Commissioner's office.
When he's not organizing or knocking doors, Colton is part of the fabric of this community — attending public meetings, talking with neighbors, and staying engaged with the issues that matter most to working families across the Flathead.
What Drives Him
Every decision should start with one question: how does this affect working families, seniors, and young people in Flathead County? Not corporate interests. Not political donors. People.
Residents deserve to know what their government is doing and why. Colton is committed to open meetings, public records, and honest communication — always.
Flathead County must remain a place where ordinary people can afford to live, work, and raise a family — not just a destination for those with means.
Identifying problems isn't enough. Colton will bring concrete plans, coalition-building, and the persistence to turn ideas into real results for the community.
